It's a new season and Christmas Cake has arrived. I'm excited about this new book, about the story, and about the opportunity to share a holiday season with the women from Hope Springs and with you! I hope you will find this book to be a source of inspiration and joy for you and for those you with whom you share it during Christmas, 2009. It's filled with lots of yummy cake recipes as well as the story of old friendships deepening as the women from Hope Springs take an unexpected road trip! I hope it is a story that brings you hope and reminds you of the friends you cherish not just during the holidays but all year long!

I've taken my own exciting road trip of late. Bob and I have moved to the Pacific Northwest where I am serving as the interim pastor of Chewelah UCC in Chewelah, Washington. Recently, I completed the training to become an intentional interim minister and this is my first call. We were sad to leave our beloved New Mexico, but this is a new adventure and I look forward to the unique stories I will learn in this personally unexplored area of our country.

On the horizon is Wedding Cake, due out in Spring, 2010. Also, a new edition of Friendship Cake has just been released with a few more recipes and some thoughts from me about what that book has meant to me. And don't forget to check out my blog at www.lynnehinton.blogspot.com.
